The Brief

LW International is a new international translation and transcreation company with an incredible wealth of experience to showcase. The challenge was to design a website that told their unique story and reflected their expertise in a way that was different from other translation service websites. The client wanted a website that stood out, one that focused on their strength—words—and created an experience that would resonate with visitors in a fresh, impactful way.

Our goal was to create a design that would not only highlight their services but also showcase their storytelling ability through a creative, engaging website experience. The website needed to be visually striking, yet minimalist in approach, allowing the content to take centre stage.

We approached this design with a focus on the power of words. Rather than relying on excessive imagery, we highlighted text and copy, as that is what the client does best—translating and crafting meaningful messages across languages. The design included smooth scrolling interactions, creating a seamless flow as users moved through the website. The use of card designs to compartmentalise the content gave each service its own distinct space, making the site feel clean and easy to navigate.

We focused on the typography, with the words being the hero of the page, while aspirational images were used sparingly to highlight the company’s global reach. The use of brand colours brought the site to life while maintaining a professional and polished look.

This website was all about creating an experience for users as they scrolled through the content, allowing them to immerse themselves in the company’s story and expertise.

Web Development

The website was built on WordPress with custom elements to ensure a user-friendly experience and easy content management. As the client wanted to make ongoing content updates independently, we ensured that the website was fully optimised for ease of use. Our development team worked closely with the client, training them on how to update the copy across the site, keeping the site dynamic and current.

Given the nature of the business, it was important for the website to load quickly and perform smoothly across all devices. We ensured that the design was optimised for speed and mobile responsiveness, guaranteeing a seamless experience for all visitors.

SEO

SEO was a key focus of this project. From the start, we ensured that the website was optimised for search engines. We worked on optimising the meta tags, keywords, and on-page content to improve visibility in search engine results. With a focus on international translation services and related search terms, we made sure the content was crafted to rank effectively.

With the site’s technical SEO taken care of, the client now has a solid foundation to build on. As their content evolves and grows, we’ll continue to refine and improve the SEO to help them increase their visibility online.
